Rush: Immigration Bill Will Kill GOP

Supporters call it a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill, but top radio talker Rush Limbaugh has another name for it. He calls it the "Comprehensive Destroy the Republican Party Bill."

During Friday's syndicated broadcast of the Rush Limbaugh program, Rush criticized the Senate's immigration proposal as liberalism gone wild.

"Liberals are trying to tear this country down institution by institution and rebuild it in their own image, and this is one of the steps that they are trying to make it happen," he said.

Rush warned that if this bill comes out of the Senate in its present form - and it's highly doubtful that it will - the liberals in the House will not vote for it. He said the politicians realize that there are Democrats in California, Arizona, Texas and Virginia where illegal immigration is a red hot issue and a vote for this bill would be political suicide.

As for Republicans, they have already lost California, Rush reminded his listeners. If they lose Virginia and lose Florida, it's all over for the GOP as far as elections go. And being blamed for this immigration bill could cost them both states.

Rush explained that this is why Senate Democrats want Republicans to receive "credit" for passing this bill.

"It's a piece of legislation that hardly anybody has ever seen," he said, yet already "there are walls of opposition that are being built on all sides of this."

The bill, he warned, will create "a brand new, giant welfare state paid by the rest of us," yet illegal immigrants are telling the media: "'I don't like this. I don't like having to go home. I don't want to pay these fines.'"

They needn't worry, Rush said. The illegals will not be forced to go home at all. They are not going to pay any fines. It's not going to happen because there is no political will to do so.

"Once this bill passes they'll be talking about how if you have to go home it will split up families and they'll say the fines would be taking food out of the mouths of poor children by making the parents pay these ridiculous fines," Rush told his audience.

Speaking of why any Republicans are supporting the bill, Rush explained: "You could legalize rape in this country if you simply called it the Civil Rights Act of 2007 because nobody on Capitol Hill has the guts to vote against anything that claims to be broadening or creating civil rights. It's a code word."

AMNESTY!!! SHAM-NESTY!!! Shoot this God Damn AMNESTY Bill down!!!

I can't beleive they are cramming this shyte down our throats!

It is criminal of every individual whom is attempting to do so on both sides of the aisle. THEY WILL PAY A HEAVY PRICE if this is passed - AS WILL THIS GREAT NATION THAT WILL BE NO MORE if this passes. You can not begin a career in America by first breaking our laws.

We are a nation of laws and an illegal IS ILLEGAL! Their lust for power to in-turn sell every hard working American down the Rio Grande for more voters is disgraceful.

DID THE FORT DIX 6 - whom now it looks like had 76 charges levied against them (the 3 illegals in the bunch) and at no time did they ever question their LEGAL STATUS IN THIS COUNTRY.

WHOEVER SAID THAT WE NEED A COMPREHENSIVE BILL!!

CLOSE THE GOD DAMNED BORDER!

DeMint Statement on Immigration Deal

May 17th, 2007 - Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator DeMint made the following statement:

"I hope we don't take a thousand page bill written in secret and try to ram it through the Senate in a few days. This is a very important issue for America and we need time to debate it."

"But the little we do know about the bill is troubling. According to reports, the bill contains a new 'Z Visa' that allows those who entered our country illegally to stay here permanently without ever returning home. This rewards people who broke the law with permanent legal status, and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America. I don't care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty."

Study shows Hispanic immigrants not socially conservative

Issue Date: www.insightmag.com - May 8-14, 2007, Posted On: 5/7/2007

A new study has struck a harsh blow to the premise that U.S. immigrants, particularly from Mexico, are committed to traditional family values.

The Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies said that immigrants from Mexico and Spanish-speaking countries were not committed to traditional values and pointed to the dramatic rise in illegitimate birth rates among Hispanic immigrants. The center said in a study that immigrant out-of-wedlock births have kept pace with those of native-born Americans.

"The argument is often made that immigrants have a stronger commitment to traditional family values than do native-born Americans," said the report, entitled "Illegitimate Nation: An Examination of Out-of-Wedlock Births Among Immigrants and Natives.” “However, birth records show that about one-third of births to both groups are now to unmarried parents. Moreover, unmarried immigrants are significantly more likely than unmarried natives to give birth."

The report was expected to be used by conservatives to warn against amnesty for illegal immigrants. Conservative Republicans have expressed concern that President Bush will work with the Democratic-controlled Congress to pass a bill that will legalize illegal immigrants.

"I know he's [Bush] ready to sign it," said Rep. Tom Tancredo, Colorado Republican and 2008 GOP presidential contender. "He's probably sitting over there in the Senate right now, just, you know, cheering everybody on."

"It's a Bush-Kennedy immigration bill," Tancredo added. "Anybody, any Republican certainly, and most Americans, should get pretty frightened about that combination."

Authored by Steven Camarota, the report said Hispanic immigrants have seen the largest increase in out-of-wedlock births—from 19 percent of births in 1980 to 42 percent in 2003. Hispanics account for nearly 60 percent of all births to immigrants.

In 2003, the report said, the absolute number of illegitimate births to Hispanics—both immigrant and native—for the first time outnumbered illegitimate births to blacks. Camarota warned that illegitimate children of immigrants encounter challenges that usually keep them in poverty, illiteracy and crime.

"The country is currently debating whether to legalize illegal aliens or alternatively, to enforce the law and cause them to go home," Camarota said. "Since 60 percent of illegals lack a high school diploma and 80 percent are Hispanic, legalization could contribute to the illegitimacy problem by

allowing illegals to remain in the United States."

Officials said the Bush administration has ordered stricter enforcement of border control and immigration laws. They reported a 20 percent increase in the removal of illegal immigrants from the United States in 2006.

In all, 221,664 illegal immigrants were expelled last year. The government estimates there are

12 million illegal immigrants.

Most Republican presidential contenders have been cautious in dealing with immigration reform. GOP front-runner Rudy Giuliani has called for a national database of and identity cards for immigrants as well as both physical and technological barriers along the border.

"There's no question that we're entitled to security," Giuliani told the Latino Coalition last week. "Let's sign them up, let's register them, let's collect their taxes and let's let them pay their fair share."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has sought to bring an immigration bill to the Senate floor by May 14. Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican and chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, has asked Reid for a one-week review period before consideration of the legislation.

The Center for Immigration Studies report has been circulating on Capitol Hill in briefings that argue against the amnesty bill. The Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus intend to create a task force to study immigration issues and their impact on the black and Hispanic communities. Polls show widespread black resentment against illegal immigrants.

"Available evidence indicates that there is no reason to believe that the problem will be any better in the next generation," the report said. "Thus, hoping that the descendants of today's immigrants will somehow strengthen family values seems unfounded."

Illegals are destroying this country - DO SOMETHING TO STOP IT!!!!

Americans, wake up – and do it soon or you’re not going to recognize what’s left of this once great nation. This country’s laws, security, and moral fiber are being assaulted and pummeled every day – both from the inside and out. And you don’t need to look very far or hard to find what I’m talking about. As if it wasn’t enough of a challenge for this most powerful nation in the history of mankind to face the increasing omnipresence of terrorism (yes, Harry and Nancy, it is global), we have a Congressional majority that has never learned the lessons of history and, what’s worse, that doesn’t recognize terrorism until after it’s too late. And we all should know what happens when we don’t learn from history and/or recognize a true threat. Just ask those that paid the price under the “leadership” of Neville Chamberlain.

But on this first day of May, 2007, it is only appropriate that we should turn our attention to another serious threat that is hitting even closer to home – runaway (mostly illegal) immigration – or more accurately stated, broken borders, broken laws, overburdened infrastructure, and misdirected politicians. Liberal (aka misdirected) politicians on both sides of the Congressional aisle do not care about broken borders, broken laws, or overburdened infrastructure – they unabashedly view today’s immigration “issue” as an opportunity to win the allegiance of Hispanic voters – pure and simple. When you combine the greed of liberal politicians with the unethical and unprofessional conduct of the mouthpiece and conduit for transmission of this misinformation, the mainstream media, we have a formidable threat from within that is aiding and abetting those that are not American citizens. Compounding the threat criminally, financially and culturally, this strange symbiotic relationship expects American citizens to look the other way as illegal aliens are allowed jobs, healthcare, in-state tuition rates, voting rights, and no expectation to learn English.

It’s not new news that we in the Chicago area are not alone in experiencing the abuses of the MSM - thanks most notably to the irresponsible journalistic practices of the Chicago Tribune. When it comes to putting a biased spin on immigration, no one trumpets the charge like the Trib. In a span of 2 days and 2 issues, here’s what the Trib and their masquerading journalists fed us on the subject of immigration:

Sunday, April 29 – Front Page Headline – “Raids stoke immigrant ire”. Here’s a different twist for author Antonio Olivo, who seems to have forgotten that his role is that of a staff reporter, not an editorialist – “Raids spark hope for law-abiding citizens”.

From the Olivo “news” article – Flor Crisostomo is identified as an illegal immigrant who will publicly flaunt her displeasure with immigration laws and enforcement at today’s immigration rallies. Flor states that “Our community is very angry, very, very angry” and that “We’re not delinquents”. Delinquent – maybe not, criminal – yes. Antonio, she knowingly broke the law – get your head out of your behind and your emotion out of your article – stick with the facts. No one forced her to come here and no one legally opened the door for her. She says she did not come here to live on welfare – that “there’s a bigger problem that needs to be fixed”. The bigger problem is that she’s here illegally. The fact that she feels she deserves to be here is not America’s problem – it’s hers and she needs to work within the framework of the law.

Sunday, April 29 – National Correspondent Michael Martinez joins the editorial whining with his “news” article on how deportation causes immigrant families to be divided. Actually Michael, that’s a remarkably distorted way of viewing why the children were left stranded – by blaming it on the deportation. In my most irrational of moments, I cannot imagine choosing to leave my kids behind if I were deported. These parents have the option to bring their kids back to the country of origin with them – who in their right mind would consider anything but that option – it is poor judgment. I don’t care how bad conditions are – parental love and guidance are more important that the prospects of leaving children to fend for themselves. It seemed fitting to read that one of the children left behind was playing video games – sounds like the $400 a month in food stamps that we subsidize may not be necessary.

Monday, April 30 – Washington Bureau Correspondent Karoun Demirjian is allowed to mix his editorial opinions in a front page article entitled “Senators grasp a chance for reform” – where’s the corresponding article entitled “Senators rediscover brass balls – decide to enforce existing laws”. Even the caption under the picture of Chapaquiddick Kennedy and John McCain describes them as part of a group of “bipartisan” senators. Now how in the hell is a picture of a far-left Democrat and a left-leaning Republican a depiction of bipartisanship? Nice try at trying to demonstrate collaboration between the Right and the Wrong, Karoun. Next time look for two people that truly don’ think alike.

In the same April 30 article, a picture is shown of President Bush in a U. S. Border Patrol truck in Arizona. The caption under the picture states that “An immigration reform plan could be one of Bush’s last chances for a domestic achievement and could help raise the party’s standing among Latino voters.” This writer, so blinded by his bias and political flip-flopping experiences, is unable to see past his two left hands. There is a political ideology, Mr. Demerjian, which does not establish its postures based upon wind direction – it’s called conservatism. We do not choose to do or support that which is designed to gain a higher percentage of the electorate – we support what is right for the individual and for this country as a whole. Succumbing to a political agenda that provides no long term development for individuals or benefit to this country is a gross mistake that could very well bring our demise.

In fairness to the Tribune, they are certainly not without co-conspirators. Unfortunately, they have the lion’s share of the printed media market in this great metropolitan area and choose to use it with unequivocal disregard for unbiased reporting. The fact that they are not alone is what’s most alarming – every news item that we read needs a discerning eye and mind to sort out the facts from the fiction.

Oh and BTW, whatever happened to the desire for skills and education as criteria for immigrating to this country? It shouldn’t make any difference if they are Canadian, Italian, Irish, Mexican, Norwegian, Chinese, Jews, Christians, Muslims (wait a minute, I need to think about this one), Buddhists, or whatever. But if we don’t have the need and/or they don’t have viable resumes, there is nothing that should require us to open our borders.

Americans, please wake up – and speak up. Our lives, our futures, and our country are at risk if we allow these assaults to continue.

HAPPY MAYDAY ILLEGALS & SOCIALISTS

- MONITOR MeCHA and AZTLAN - Or as mayor out in LA says - his constituents of Northern Mexicans

Al Qaeda is MeCHA is AZTLAN.

Al Qaeda shares similar goals in overthrow of this country as does every other communist, socialist organization and anti-AMerican leftists that cheer when Harry Reid says "this war is lost"

There is no doubt the under current flowing within this cover of Illegals marching for a voice and amnesty.

You see the libs, the anti-americans and, as reported on CNN today from a Jerry Steele reader,

CNN just reported (From Los Angeles) that the Nation of Islam (Farrakhan) is one of the sponsors of today's activities.

We are so bloody stupid.
Miguel de Cervantes
This is beyond an invasion now. It is an attack - in the open.. Im waiting for Reid or piglosi to go surrender to them too...

Is the UK awakening to problems of unchecked immigration & dire consequences...

'Immigration threat to Britain as single nation'

STORY
Last Updated: 2:13am BST 21/04/2007

Immigration may be threatening Britain's status as a country, it has been claimed.

A pamphlet by social policy think-tank Civitas said the UK may already have reached a "tipping point" where it can no longer be regarded as a single nation.

David Conway, the author, said that if Britain has become a "nation of immigrants" it could lead to political disintegration.

The 100-page booklet said: "Those for whom this country has been a model of tolerance and freedom cannot but have cause for deep concern about the seemingly reckless pace and scale on which immigration has recently been allowed to proceed.

"As a result of it, the country may possibly have reached a tipping point beyond which it can no longer be said to contain a single nation. Should that point have been reached, then, ironically in the course of Britain having become a nation of immigrants, it would have ceased to be a nation.

"Once such a point is reached, political disintegration may be predicted to be not long in following."

Mr Conway, a senior research fellow at Civitas, disputed a claim made by the Commission for Racial Equality in 1996 that "everyone who lives in Britain today is either an immigrant to the descendant of an immigrant".

The author said: "The view that Britain is a nation of immigrants suggests Britain has always experienced immigration on its present-day scale, which is not the case."

David Davis, the shadow home secretary, said: "This report suggests that the Government's inability to get a grip on immigration or put a limit on numbers entering the UK is destabilising British society. We know that unchecked immigration is putting pressure on housing and local services. Now this report shows that its effects are potentially even more serious."

Battle building on Border - Let our National Guard FIre Back

Along the desert stretch where Arizona and Mexico meet, there’s more flying in the air than just dust. There are rocks flying back and forth toward the border agents, CBS News correspondent Kelly Cobiella reports.

It’s part of a nightly bombardment of Border Patrol vehicles and agents all along the southwestern border.

Chris Van Wagenen, a senior patrol agent, says “it’s mostly going to be smugglers, guides, gangbangers basically. People who make money off of this.

“This” means smuggling people and drugs into the U.S. It’s gotten a lot harder to cross the border, and smugglers are reacting to more fences and more agents with more violence.

“They believe, almost like a terrorist, ‘we’re going to intimidate you and hurt you until you back off,’” Van Wagenen says.

Mexican Smugglers Seize US Territory

For months, NumbersUSA has been trying to interest the Mainstream Media in this amazing story: Mexican Smugglers have seized US territory as much as 200 mules north of the border to faciliate their operations. The Federal government says challenging them “not a priority.”

And How About This?

23 February 2007: On February 11, 2007, a tractor-trailer registered in Texas and containing a large shipment of weapons, ammunition and a Nissan pickup truck fitted with armor and bullet-proof glass was stopped by the Mexican army in Matamoros, just south of the U.S. border at Brownsville, Texas.

brownsville-texas.jpg

The weapons seized included 18 M-16 assault rifles, including at least one equipped with an M-203 40mm grenade launcher, several M-4 carbines, 17 handguns of various calibers, over 200 magazines for different weapons, and more than 8,000 rounds of ammunition, assault vests and other military accessories.

    brownsville-2.jpg

Although the origin of the shipment is unclear, it is vividly obvious that areas along the U.S.-Mexican border are as much war zones as transshipment points. Matamoros has long been recognized as a vital choke point for the shipment of drugs, weapons and illegal aliens, including Islamic terrorists, into the United States from Mexico. Based on the sophistication of the weapons seized earlier this month, it is apparent that a battle is shaping up just across the border from Brownsville - one that will undoubtedly have ominous implications for those protecting our southern border.
